Your options, priced

Refinish, reface or replace?

Typical ranges for a Portland-area kitchen of about 25–35 doors. You get a firm written price at the free in-home visit.

Paint or refinish

$3,500–$7,000

Typically 1½–2 weeks

Best whenYour cabinets are solid and you want a new color, or the wood to look rich again. Painted cabinets can be repainted, not taken back to stained wood.

Reface

$6,500–$12,000

Timeline quoted per project (doors are made to order)

Best whenThe boxes are sound but the doors are damaged or you want a new style, like Shaker. Includes new doors and drawer fronts, frames finished to match, soft-close hinges and hardware.

Replace (for comparison)

$15,000–$40,000+

Before countertops, plumbing and weeks of demolition

Best whenThe boxes are failing or water-damaged, or the layout is changing. We'll tell you at the visit if that's your kitchen.

What moves the price: number of doors and drawers, repairs, going dark to light, two-tone colors, islands and hardware.

Common questions

Can we still use the kitchen during the work?

Mostly, yes. Doors and drawer fronts are sprayed in our shop, so the work in your home is on the frames. We'll tell you up front which days the kitchen is off-limits.

How messy is it?

There's no demolition. Floors, counters and appliances are covered and masked before any sanding or spraying, and frames are sprayed with dust control.

Will it hold up in a busy kitchen?

Every surface is degreased, sanded and primed, then sprayed with a two-part (2K) waterborne finish. It's backed by our 5-year warranty against peeling and chipping.

Do I have to decide at the visit?

No. You get a firm written price and color previews, and decide in your own time. There's no obligation.
